about

Dull-witted from grog, the Rats spilled into a local recording studio to mark for history our special holiday celebration song.
We hopes you enjoy.

If you pay for this song, we consider ourselves your humble servant.
If you steal this song, we understands...we're pirates too.

lyrics

Well there’s lots of songs 'bout Christmas trees,
Ho-ho-ho and fancy wreaths,
Mistletoe and plump turkeys,
But nothing 'bout a pirate Christmas.

Der Bingle sings about Santa Claus,
Roasting nuts and yuletide logs,
Stockings hung and reindeer paws,
But nothing 'bout a pirate Christmas.

Lots of people singin’ 'bout angels,
singin’ 'bout mangers, singin’ 'bout snow,
Silent nights, and Christmas white,
but nobody singin' 'bout pirates.

Dopey reindeer's have a tune,
and so do men of snow,
But no one thought about pirates,
So, I wrote this song – let’s go!

Let’s sing a pirate Christmas song,
Of spirits bright from hearty grog
And brass ship bells that go ding-dong,
It’s a song 'bout a pirate Christmas.

Pirate ship sways to and fro
Like Santa’s sleigh lost in the snow,
Davy’s locker way down low,
Consigned to a Pirate Christmas.

Was-sail from the main mast flies,
Striped stockings, minced meat pies,
Mistletoe above the Captains eyes,
It’s a song 'bout a pirate Christmas.

Fa la la la lala la la lalalala la
Let’s sing 'bout a pirate Christmas.

Yo-Ho-Ho.

about

Bilge Rats Huntington Beach, California

Out of the coastal fog, Edward Thatch’s ship appeared to Captain Skeever
who up and stole it. “I renames this The Lee Marvin’s Revenge, and I’m a better man for it! But he wasn’t. He didn’t know how to steer, clean, stock, operate, fuel, load, nor repair a ship. He gathered musicians to play Irish/Pirate Folk Rock. A good Captain knows as long as you have music and rum, you needn't give a damn. ... more
